Who we are
VoiceBill is a billing app for shops in India (Android app and website), based in Haroa, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal 743425, India. Contact: email tirtho2787@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 83918 02787 (see Contact for our Grievance Officer).
What the app keeps, and where

Voice
When you hold the mic, the phone's own speech service turns speech into text (on most Android phones this is Google's). VoiceBill does not record or keep audio. It keeps a log of the recognised words on the phone, to show voice accuracy in Settings; this log is not sent to us.
Customers' details
Names and phone numbers of khata customers are entered by the shop. The shop decides what to keep and is responsible to its customers for it; we store it only to give the shop its cloud copy. WhatsApp reminders open WhatsApp on the shop's phone; we don't send them.
The website
The website has no accounts, cookies or analytics. "Try it yourself" uses your browser's speech service; where that can't handle Bengali or Hindi, the recording is sent to Cloudflare to turn it into text and is not saved. Like any website, our host Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver pages and stop abuse.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data, and there are no ads.
- We don't read the shop's records except to fix a problem you report to us, with your permission.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Sign-in sessions last up to 90 days. If a phone is lost, open Settings → Account & cloud copy → Sign out on all phones: every phone must then sign in with Google again.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
The cloud copy is kept while you use VoiceBill. To have your shop's cloud copy and account deleted, message us on WhatsApp from the shop's number; we delete it within 30 days. Data on your phone is deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing its data (make a backup file first if you may need it).
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to us first and then to the Data Protection Board of India. Write to us on WhatsApp.
Children
VoiceBill is for shop owners and staff, not for children under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
